Al-Maliki: We are against any dissolution of the Popular Mobilization Forces.

According to the Baghdad Al-Youm news agency, Maliki, who spoke in a television interview, said: “We will never accept that any party talks about the dissolution of the Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd Al-Shaabi), especially since this force is an official institution and is directly under the command of the Commander-in-Chief (Prime Minister). Therefore, there is no need to be sensitive about it.”

He also stressed the need to establish a mechanism to control weapons and keep them under the management of the Iraqi government.

Regarding Syria, the head of the Iraqi government also said that what happened in this country was not sudden, because there were preparations and that the Zionist regime had advanced to the vicinity of Damascus after the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government.

He added: “We do not interfere in the internal affairs of Syria and we will not help divide this country.”

Regarding Lebanon, Maliki also said that this country will be surrounded after the ceasefire with the Zionist regime.

He added: “With the fall of the Syrian government, the Palestinian issue will be weakened, Jordan will be threatened, and Turkey will continue its expansionism, and my prediction is that the storm of threats will also hit the UAE, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.”

Maliki stated that “national unity and the rationality of Iraqi political movements are a strong barrier to protect the political process in the country,” and added: “The Baath Party can incite sedition and conspiracy and must be prosecuted by security institutions.”

He also emphasized the necessity of the Sadr movement’s participation in the Iraqi political process, saying that we have no red lines in the coalition of parties, and the coordination framework of Shiite groups has not yet agreed on a single list in the upcoming elections.

Maliki also added that the amendment to the electoral law will be discussed after the Iraqi parliament’s legal recess.

In conclusion, he considered any conspiracy unlikely on October 7 and said that the Zionist regime was humiliated for the first time in history.
