PNN – The Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement emphasized that the purpose of the crimes of the Zionist regime was to crush the resistance, but it did not succeed and these crimes are not achievements.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Al-Mayadeen network, Sheikh “Naeem Qassem”, Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement, said: We were expecting the Zionist regime’s aggression against Lebanon at any moment, and we just didn’t know when it would happen.
He added: The enemy wants to eliminate any resistance to his development plans in the entire region.
Sheikh Naeem Qasim said: We failed the enemy’s aim to destroy the resistance and crush it, we displaced the settlers, and the enemy’s achievement was also a blow to us with the martyrdom of our leaders. It is impossible for us to surrender or submit to humiliation, and this is impossible for Hezbollah to resist.
He added: The problem is aggression (Zionist regime) and resistance is not a problem. The enemy has understood that the horizon of confrontation with Hezbollah’s resistance is closed, and for this reason, he turned to an agreement to stop the aggression.
The enemy could not achieve his goals
The Secretary General of Hezbollah stated: The resistance won because the enemy could not achieve its main goal, which is to destroy Hezbollah and return the settlers without an agreement.
He said: We prohibited the enemy from entering the “new Middle East” through the Lebanese gate, and the agreement (ceasefire) is to stop the aggression, not to end the resistance. This is an agreement to implement Resolution 1701 and is exclusively related to the south of the Litani River.
Sheikh Naeem Qassem stated: We waited in the face of hundreds of violations of Israel’s commitment, to help implement this agreement and not to be an obstacle to it and we held the relevant officials accountable.
He added: Palestine is the fulcrum for the liberation of this region because Israel has made Palestine the fulcrum for occupying the region in its aggression.

Resistance fighters were not persistent, Israel reached Beirut
The Secretary General of Hezbollah emphasized: The important thing is the continuation of the resistance in the field, even though its possibilities are limited. We track events and act based on interests; Hezbollah’s resistance continues in terms of faith and supplies, and the sacrifices increase our responsibility to face an enemy that can only be restrained by resistance. The resistance continues and each stage has its own way and method, which we will also act on. He added: We repelled the aggression against Lebanon and with the persistence of the fighters and popular support, we pinned down the enemy at the border; if it wasn’t for the persistence of the resistance fighters, Israel would have reached Beirut and started its next plans, including settlement construction and settlement (settlers).
He added: Resistance alongside the nation and its army prevented the occupying regime from realizing its developmental goals in Lebanon. Hezbollah is strong, regaining its strength and continuing, as the resistance and Lebanon continue by relying on the elements of their power, and whoever relied on Israel failed.
He clarified: Hezbollah’s plan in the next phase is to implement the agreement in the south of the Litani River, rebuild Lebanon and elect a president.
We hope that the new Syrian government will consider Israel as an enemy
The Secretary General of Hezbollah said: We hope that all parties in Syria will participate (in the formation of the government).
He continued: Hezbollah lost the route of military aid through Syria; this separation occurred, but what is important is the persistence of resistance.
Sheikh Naim Qassem emphasized: We do not believe that what happens in Syria will affect Lebanon and we hope that Syria will achieve stability based on what the nation wants.
Naeem Qassem said: We supported Syria because it is in a position of enmity with Israel and we hope that the new government in Syria will consider Israel as an enemy and will not normalize relations with it.
