PNN – The Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah criticized the country’s government’s approach and announced that the Lebanese government had missed the opportunity to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire, emphasizing that the priority of the resistance is to confront aggression and that there will be no return to the previous ceasefire agreement with Israel.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Sheikh Naim Qassem, in a statement read by Hassan Fadlallah, Hezbollah’s representative in the Lebanese parliament, on the occasion of the martyrdom of Yousef Hashem, one of the great resistance commanders, said that the Lebanese ruling establishment missed the opportunity for a comprehensive ceasefire in Lebanon and that the process that followed will lead to more bloodshed.
He emphasized that the priority of the resistance today is not to deal with side issues but to confront aggression, and Hezbollah calls on the Lebanese government not to accumulate its mistakes and not to fall for the mirage of negotiations (directly with the Zionist regime).
The Hezbollah Secretary General emphasized that the solution available today is stability and steadfastness on the battlefield with the powerful hands of the resistance fighters and the patience of the people who have an invincible will.
Sheikh Qassem stated: We repeat once again and say that we will not return to the previous March 2nd, the previous ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel.
During the previous ceasefire with Lebanon and fruitless negotiations within the framework of the Mechanism Committee, the Zionists, while destroying border villages and towns, carried out attacks and assassinations, martyred more than 500 Lebanese. Despite internal opposition and criticism of the Lebanese authorities and the continuation of Zionist attacks, Washington will witness the beginning of the third round of trilateral talks between Lebanon and Israel under US supervision next Thursday and Friday.
The Lebanese delegation will be headed by Simon Karam, former Lebanese ambassador, and Nadi Hamada Moawad, the country’s current ambassador to Washington. In contrast, the Zionist delegation is expected to include Ron Dermer, former minister, and a number of military and diplomatic officials of the regime.
