PNN – Reuters announced that its findings show that the increase in diesel costs, caused by the illegal US-Zionist aggression against Iran, has put pressure on American schools budgets.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Reuters, the sharp increase in diesel prices since the start of the war against Iran (the illegal US-Zionist aggression against Iran) has further reduced the already limited budgets of US schools, plunging the cost of servicing students and running generators into a shock that officials say they will not be able to afford for a long time.
School districts in Yakima, Washington, Texas and other states are tapping emergency funding reserves to stay afloat, the news agency reported.
In Alaska, officials are struggling to secure enough fuel to keep school lights on, Reuters reported.
A Yakima official told Reuters: This is a bigger problem than it seems.
Reuters added: The concern represents just one side effect of the US-Israeli war against Iran, which has disrupted the flow of about a fifth of the world’s oil supplies. Fuel prices have recorded one of their fastest increases since the war began in late February. The sudden increase has rattled economies around the world. It has caused enough trouble in the United States that it could be seen as a political liability for US President Donald Trump ahead of November midterm elections, as his Republican Party struggles to maintain its slim majority in the US Congress.
