The lies spread about the press machine or secret rooms in Saydnaya prison are not true.
According to Arabi 21, Diab Seriya, the director of the detainees’ committee in Saydnaya prison, stressed that no pressing machine was used to crush and destroy the bodies of the detainees.
He added: “The search operation to find the prisoners in this prison has ended and the news published about the existence of secret rooms or floors in Saydnaya prison is not true.”
Seriya added: “What has been published about the existence of underground floors in this prison with the presence of thousands of prisoners is not true. The pressing machine in this prison was not for torture or eating bones, but rather had a repair function.”
It should be noted that after the overthrow of the Bashar al-Assad regime, terrorist elements, along with Western and Arab media, spread widespread rumors and lies about Saydnaya prison to discredit the performance of the former Syrian regime.
