The US State Department has stated that Japan has no problem importing these equipment and services to its armed forces.

Japan plans to increase its defense spending to 43 trillion yen (about 237 billion dollars) per year by 2027. Therefore, it is expected that the country’s military spending will increase significantly every year.

However, Tokyo has not yet decided on the sources of defense funding. Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba supports raising corporate taxes to cover these costs, but this plan has many opponents even in Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party.
