US Lawyer: Trump Administration’s Investigations into Anti-Semitism Is Baseless

PNN – A former U.S. attorney stated that the Trump administration’s investigations into anti-Semitism at universities lack concrete evidence.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; a former U.S. Department of Justice attorney remarked that the Trump administration’s investigations into anti-Semitism on university campuses lack evidence and definitive findings.

Holly Orme, a former attorney in the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, wrote in a complaint that the Trump administration’s investigations into anti-Semitism at U.S. universities suffer from procedural flaws, assert conclusions unsupported by law, and disregard specific legal requirements as well as free speech rights.

The whistleblower’s complaint, submitted to the Congressional Judiciary Committee, was made public by Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin.

In the complaint, Eram and others also proposed launching an investigation into anti-Islamic sentiments on university campuses, but the proposal was not pursued.

Following the Zionist regime’s brutal assault on the innocent people of Gaza after October 7, 2023, a wave of protests against this savage Zionist atrocity erupted on several U.S. university campuses. The Trump administration attributed these protests to anti-Semitism, subjected universities to various threats—including the withholding of funding—and initiated investigations into the matter.

Columbia University was at the forefront of pro-Palestinian student protests and anti-Semitism-related controversies across U.S. campuses, sparked by opposition to Israel’s war in Gaza. Protesters demanded an end to Washington’s financial and military support for the regime during this deadly conflict. Harvard University also faced baseless government accusations regarding anti-Semitism; consequently, Trump revoked a significant portion of the university’s funding and tightened oversight of its admissions process.

Previously, in an executive order, Donald Trump labeled protesters against the Zionist regime’s crimes as “anti-Semitic” and called for a harsh crackdown on pro-Palestine students.

He claimed: The October 7 attacks unleashed an unprecedented wave of anti-Semitic discrimination, particularly in our schools and universities; Jewish students faced a relentless wave of discrimination and were denied access to campus spaces and facilities.

Labeling protesters against the genocide in Gaza as anti-Semitic comes at a time when a large segment of American Jews has repeatedly staged demonstrations against Israel.
