PNN – Israel’s Channel 7 reported that a court in the occupied territories sentenced Alexander Granovsky to 13 and a half years in prison following his conviction on security-related charges involving an Iranian operative.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Anadolu Agency; a court in the occupied territories sentenced a resident of Petah Tikva to 13 and half years in prison on charges of spying for Iran.
Israel’s Channel 7 stated that the Central District Court in the city of Lod handed down the sentence to Alexander Granovsky, describing it as the harshest punishment imposed to date in similar cases.
Granovsky, who was arrested in 2024, was convicted of carrying out security-related activities for an Iranian operative.
According to the indictment, he communicated with the operative via Telegram, photographed power generation facilities and the neighborhood where Benny Gantz—a former senior official of the regime—resides, and sent the images to his handler.
Zionist officials stated that Granovsky was also prepared to undertake further missions.
