The Secretary of the Russian Security Council then continued: The West intends to maximize threats against Russia in the Caucasus and isolate it from global processes in the region. Russia’s adversaries are sparing no effort to create flashpoints of tension along the country’s borders in the South Caucasus.
Sergei Shoigu then added: The recent crisis in bilateral relations between Russia and the Republic of Azerbaijan was overcome through joint efforts. Russia will not foot the bill for Armenia’s integration process with the European Union.
He then added: Yerevan’s desire to expand cooperation with NATO is evident. Yerevan is taking over companies in Armenia in which Russia has invested billions of dollars.
