PNN – The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz has stated that time is working in Iran’s favor, noting that Trump sees no clear path forward.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; amidst ongoing analysis within American and Zionist circles regarding the US impasse in the new phase of the conflict with Iran, the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz published an article by prominent Zionist analyst Zvi Bar’el. The piece states that US President Donald Trump needs time to make a decision, yet Iran is leveraging this time to its own advantage.

The Hebrew media outlet added that the 60-day ceasefire period established during the Islamabad talks has expired, although, in practice, no genuine ceasefire existed during this time. Throughout this period, Iran continued to disrupt shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted U.S. bases in retaliation for American attacks.

Haaretz further noted that the Houthis (Yemenis) continue to blockade the Red Sea and attack ships suspected of transporting goods from Saudi Arabia; they have even blockaded the port of Mocha, near the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

The report continues: From Iran’s perspective, the 60-day truce is no longer viable, given its violation by the United States and the absence of any negotiations after several weeks. Meanwhile, Trump lacks any real solution and resembles a blindfolded boxer.

The aforementioned Hebrew media outlet emphasized: Trump appeared like a blind boxer merely seeking to project strength when he threatened to bomb Oman should Muscat intervene in Iran-US negotiations, when he spoke of declaring the Strait of Hormuz US territory, and even when he described the next phase of the conflict with Iran as economic warfare.

According to this article, the new war scenarios discussed by global media do not represent a move Trump intends to make. Trump stated, “I am in no rush”—and, of course, this is neither the first nor the last time he has made such remarks.

Haaretz noted that while American citizens had already been bracing for rising fuel prices, the full scope of this dire economic war remains unclear.

The report further notes that Trump—who treats the time factor as a strategic element seemingly decisive to the war’s outcome—assumes that Iran’s economic timeframe is shorter than that of the United States or the rest of the world, and believes that time is entirely on his side.

The aforementioned Zionist media outlet emphasized that, in this context, Trump’s threat against Oman appears to stem from his fear that the two nations (Iran and Oman) might sign a maritime agreement granting Iran concessions not accounted for in Trump’s own plan.

Haaretz further reported that, worse still, such an agreement—if backed by other Persian Gulf states—could serve as leverage to pressure Trump into granting the concessions Iran demands for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

The article goes on to emphasize that, meanwhile, Iran—appearing indifferent toward the Trump administration—continues to use time to its own advantage and to strengthen its allies.
