Al-Sudani: Stopping Israel is everyone’s duty/failure of the Security Council to achieve its goals

PNN – In his speech during the annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, the Iraqi Prime Minister Shia al-Sudani considered it the responsibility of everyone to stop the attacks and violations committed by the Zionist regime in Palestine and the region.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Waa news agency, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani said in his speech: The 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly will be held in the middle of the dangerous situation that the Middle East region is dealing with and in such a situation, the international world system is facing a difficult test that threatens its existence and has made it unable to achieve its desired goals, including maintaining international security and stability and human rights.

Al-Sudani added: In occupied Palestine, today we are facing people who are attacked by an occupying military force, which displaces millions of defenseless people and kills thousands of people. While the officials of this occupying regime openly talk about the hunger and famine and the mass killing of this nation and the use of nuclear weapons to destroy them, there is no protest or preventive action. And the international community, or any of its members, does not live up to its responsibility to protect them in accordance with international law.

He continued: The Palestinian nation, despite the world’s shameful helplessness, is deprived of the right to live an honorable life like other people in other countries, and this has caused criminals to spread conflicts and attacks with their support and the assurance that they are immune from punishment.

Referring to the aggression of the Zionist regime in Lebanon, al-Sudani added: The occupying regime, in continuing its extremist actions, abuses Security Council Resolution No. 1701 as an excuse to invade Lebanon and selects some clauses of this resolution selectively. While it ignores other numerous resolutions and clear principles of international laws issued by the Security Council, among which resolutions 242, 252, 265, and 297 of this council can be mentioned.

The 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly officially began on Tuesday afternoon in New York and is being held with the presence of world leaders.
