PNN – American police clashed with pro-Palestinian protesters who gathered in front of the Israeli consulate in Chicago and arrested a number of them.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting the Associated Press, the police on Tuesday night called the gathering of protesters “illegal” and the officers tried to prevent the demonstration with clubs.
The gathering of pro-Palestinian protesters was held for the second night in a row in Chicago and coincided with the second day of the Democratic National Convention.

According to the Associated Press, some protesters set fire to an American flag. Others were holding Palestinian flags and some protesters were wearing black clothes and covered their faces.
According to this report, after the American police tried to disperse the protesters, some of them gathered again in front of the building where the Israeli consulate is located.
Some reports indicate that eight protesters were arrested.
Since last October, many anti-Israel protests have been held in front of the consulate of this regime in Chicago.
Thirteen people were arrested in the protests that were held on Monday night at the same time as the beginning of the Democratic National Convention.
