Egypt’s Foreign Minister’s imminent visit to Syria with Turkish intervention.
The Syrian newspaper Al-Watan reported that Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati is preparing to travel to Damascus to meet with Abu Muhammad al-Julani, the leader of the Tahrir al-Sham terrorists in Syria.
The operations room affiliated with the terrorists ruling Syria also announced that the trip would take place under the mediation of Turkey.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister had previously stressed the need to achieve an inclusive political process in Syria and to prevent the marginalization of any group or clan.
In recent weeks, the Egyptian government has not taken any specific steps to communicate with the ruling elements in Syria. The country’s media also condemned the attack by Tahrir al-Sham terrorists on Syria.
