Hezbollah’s winning card in the ground war; Israel drowning in the “Northern Swamp”
According to Al Jazeera, on August 16, before the ground operation of the Zionist regime in the south of this country, Lebanon’s Hezbollah released pictures of its tunnel cities under the ground, which were located near the borders of the Zionist regime.
One of these infrastructures was the so-called Emad 4 location, which is among the strong facilities built underground and has the capacity for the presence and movement of large trucks, four-cylinder cars and motorcycles, and ballistic missile launch platforms are located in it.
The media of the Zionist regime evaluated these tunnels as very different from the tunnels used during the July 2006 war, when Israel suffered a heavy defeat in that war.
The conclusion reached in the investigation of the failure of the July war was that Hezbollah uses the tunnels as its trump card, and these tunnels enable Hezbollah to counter Israel’s technological superiority. In this way, the war of tunnels has faced double importance in the current period.
Tunnel tactics and different experiences
The use of tunnels is not a new issue, but an old military tactic, and the Assyrians were the first to use tunnels to attack fortified cities more than 4,000 years ago.
The use of tunnels in asymmetric wars is a common thing, and the stream that has less technological and military strength, by using tunnels, gets a tactical tool for more maneuvers and surprising the enemy and causing extensive damage to it, and the balance of power is adjusted.
 The structure of Hezbollah’s tunnels
The Zionist author Eyal Weissman writes in a book that when Israel maintains the absolute power of the airspace and counts on its technical and technological superiority, this causes the resistance to move towards underground fighting techniques in order to use the underground as the main means of confrontation. against the air superiority of the enemy, and this happened in Gaza and South Lebanon.
