PNN – A prominent Zionist analyst harshly criticized Netanyahu and admitted that Israel had failed on all fronts.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, in continuation of the Zionist admissions of the regime’s multiple defeats in the war with Iran and the Axis of Resistance, Yoav Limor, a military affairs analyst for the Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom, stated in an article that Israel was merely an American protectorate and had failed to convert military achievements into strategic victories.
Israel Fails to Achieve Strategic Victory against Iran and Hezbollah
The Zionist analyst emphasized: Israeli officials have realized that Iran and Hezbollah have survived and that resolving the Iranian nuclear issue is more out of reach than ever.
He noted that the ceasefire imposed on Israel in Lebanon, following the ceasefires imposed on it in Iran and Gaza, places Tel Aviv in a difficult position, once again failing to exploit the army’s numerous operational achievements and turn them into a strategic outcome.
The Zionist expert added: In fact, after 925 days of war since October 7, 2023, Israel has not achieved a decisive victory on any front, Hamas remains intact and is engaged in a rapid reconstruction process. Hezbollah survived a fierce battle and empty threats of destruction, and Iran may emerge from this conflict stronger than before.
The article continues: While it is true that Israel inflicted damage on Iran and Hezbollah (as well as on the Yemenis), at the end of the conflict, Israel is portrayed as a party whose affairs are determined not in Tel Aviv, but in Washington.
Netanyahu did not keep his promises and Trump seeks to escape the quagmire of war
Yoav Limor clarified: In his previous speech in the Knesset, when he was in opposition, Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that whoever becomes Israeli Prime Minister will be tested on a single issue: his ability to say “no” to the President of the United States.
He added: But today we see that Netanyahu himself failed the practical test against US President Donald Trump. Trump’s tweet on Friday, in which he explicitly forbade Israel from attacking Lebanon, was not simply a directive for action; it was a public humiliation and a significant blow to Israel’s strength and deterrence.
The Zionist military analyst emphasized: Trump seems to be tired of wars and is looking for a quick and elegant exit before re-entering them. In Iran, there is a gap between Trump’s optimistic tweets and the realities on the ground, as the Strait of Hormuz was closed again yesterday, just a day after it was reopened. However, even sources in Israel familiar with the negotiations believe that the areas of agreement between the two sides currently outweigh the areas of disagreement.
The article continues: According to these sources, Israel appears to be still deprived of its desired outcome on the Iranian missile issue and its support for its allies. Tel Aviv must ensure that the United States, in the midst of current events, does not agree to dangerous concessions on the nuclear issue, either on the elimination of highly enriched uranium or on Iran’s ability to resume enrichment in the foreseeable future.
Despair and Anger on the Northern Front of Occupied Palestine
Yoav Limor continues in his article that the Israeli situation in Lebanon is also very complicated and its actions are limited and it can only have limited movements in southern Lebanon and only for defensive purposes and the security of its forces. This process actually means growing despair among the residents of the north who once again find themselves faced with the empty promises of a “final battle” that will only end with “a decisive victory.”
According to the note, however, unlike Gaza, where Israel’s promise of “absolute victory” also failed to materialize, the northern front is also on the verge of collapse: lost confidence in security matters and total neglect of the civilian sector are a sure recipe for accelerating the exodus of northern residents, which could ultimately destroy the region.
Unity of Resistance Fronts Means another Strategic Defeat for Israel
Lemur noted that the only way out of this predicament for Israel is to reach an agreement with Lebanon. There are many problems on this path, the most important of which is the minimal capacity or lack of a stable Lebanese government to fulfill any commitments it might make, especially since the Lebanese president is currently being threatened by Hezbollah about talking to Israel.
Israel is a US protectorate, not an independent “state”
The article goes on to emphasize that the accumulation of these crises places Israel in an awkward position on the eve of its 79th anniversary. Apparently, Israel prides itself on being a regional and perhaps even global power, as Netanyahu claimed; but in practice, it has turned itself into a US protectorate.
The author of this note concluded by emphasizing that the situation in which Qatar and Turkey are interfering in Gaza, Hezbollah is present in Lebanon, the Iranian regime is in place, and most people in the world – including in the United States – are hostile to Israel is a very problematic situation; especially since Trump will soon enter another election campaign that will define the second and final half of his time in the White House.
