PNN – On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Cooperation between his country and Beijing, the Russian Foreign Minister announced that nearly all trade transactions between Russia and China are conducted using national currencies.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated, in an article for the Kommersant newspaper marking the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation between Russia and China, that both nations consider the policy of double standards and unilateral sanctions to be unacceptable.
In this regard, the Russian Foreign Minister continued: Cooperation between Russia and China serves as a model for establishing relations based on the principles of equality. Virtually all trade between Russia and China is conducted using national currencies. The principles enshrined in the two countries’ treaty on good-neighborliness retain their importance and relevance in today’s realities.
Sergey Lavrov then added: Over the past 25 years, Russia and China have significantly enhanced the coordination of their foreign policies.
