Netanyahu’s United Party enters negotiations for a coalition with Eisenkot.

Eisenkot

PNN – One of the parties comprising the current coalition led by Netanyahu has initiated discussions regarding joining Gadi Eisenkot.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the Hebrew-language news outlet Kipa reported that, amidst the deadlock in negotiations to form a cabinet, Rabbi Dov Landau announced that the “Degel HaTorah” (United Torah Judaism) party is not committed to either political bloc. He further instructed the party’s members of the Knesset (parliament) to take action to resolve the status of seminary students—even if such a move runs counter to the “Change Bloc.”

A portion of this report states: Amidst ongoing, serious negotiations regarding the formation of a cabinet, Rabbi Dov Landau—head of a yeshiva (religious seminary)—instructed the Knesset members of the “Degel HaTorah” party to initiate discussions with the “Bloc of Change” (led by Eizenkot). He stated: Exert every effort to resolve the status of yeshiva students. We do not belong to any [political] bloc; rather, we belong to the bloc of the ‘World of Torah’. This information is based on a statement released by Yishai Cohen.

Based on the election results, neither of the two blocs—Netanyahu’s bloc or the opposition bloc—was able to secure 61 seats. The right-wing bloc won 53 seats, while the bloc led by Eisenkot secured 48; this figure would rise to 56 seats if the Arab coalition were to support the government.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Yair Lapid, leader of the “Yesh Atid” party, preemptively declared victory for the “change bloc” in the election, noting that a series of consultations regarding the formation of a government are currently underway behind the scenes. He remarked: A watchmaker makes no noise. He sits there with a magnifying glass, setting the gears in motion, one by one.

In the end, the clock works. No one knows how he managed it or how much time he spent on it. What matters is that the time is correct. If you want to know whether something is happening behind the silence you hear now, the answer is yes.
