The World Health Organization has warned about the spread of a new deadly disease

PNN – Following the identification of 27 patients with the highly contagious and deadly Marburg virus in Rwanda, the World Health Organization warned of the high risk of the disease spreading globally.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the NPR news website, the Marburg virus, which belongs to the family of the Ebola virus, is one of the most deadly and incurable pathogens in the world, which killed eight people in Rwanda this week.

Outbreaks of this disease usually occur in areas where people are exposed to fruit-eating bats that naturally carry the disease virus by entering mines or caves where animals live.

In this connection, the German authorities announced the discovery of two patients with the symptoms of the Marburg virus, which consists of bleeding from the eyes and other body openings along with diarrhea, in Hamburg.

According to these officials, Frankfurt is considered as one of the main air terminals for the arrival and departure of European passengers, and currently the people who were on the plane that the German student traveled with may be spread across Europe.

The deadly Marburg virus is spread between people through direct contact with infected blood or through direct contact with blood, secretions or other body fluids of infected people and surfaces and materials contaminated with these fluids, and 9 out of 10 patients with this virus.
