PNN – In a report, Al Jazeera Network examined the human and financial costs of decades of US wars against countries around the world.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Al Jazeera Network reported: Since the 1950s, US wars have claimed the lives of millions of civilians. According to an analysis by the “Costs of War Project” at the Watson Institute affiliated with Brown University, US wars have directly claimed the lives of about 940,000 people since 2001 alone, and in Iran, at least more than 3,300 civilians have been targeted.
According to the Pentagon, the Trump administration spent more than $11 billion on munitions in the first six days of the war, which, when including casualties, infrastructure damage, and support costs, is closer to $13 billion. Based on daily costs, the Iran war is one of the most expensive wars in modern history.
Also, according to a joint poll by Reuters and Ipsos, 60% of Americans oppose military strikes against Iran, which from this perspective has made the Iran war the most hated war in American history.
