PNN – Yemeni forces have achieved another remarkable feat on the battlefield by targeting Saudi fighter jets and drones in the skies over Yemen.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the situation in Yemen has seen rapid military and political developments over the past 24 hours. Yemeni armed forces announced that they had carried out a series of military operations deep within Saudi territory across several different fronts.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced the execution of two military operations targeting the Aramco facility in Yanbu with dozens of ballistic missiles and drones; the Khamis Mushait airbase was also attacked. He emphasized that the equation of “blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation” remains in effect.
In Ma’rib Province, Yemeni armed forces announced that they had shot down a “Wing Loong II” armed drone while it was carrying out hostile actions in the province’s airspace. They also released footage purportedly showing the downing of a Saudi F-15 fighter jet by a domestically produced surface-to-air missile. According to the claim, two air squadrons arrived in the area to search for the wreckage but were forced to retreat.
Meanwhile, over the skies of Al-Mukha in Taiz Governorate, Yemeni air defenses announced that they had intercepted two squadrons of F-15 fighter jets—which had arrived from the Khamis Mushait base—and forced them to leave the airspace before they could carry out any military action.
Coinciding with these developments on the ground, Yemeni religious scholars issued a statement categorically rejecting Saudi claims regarding the targeting of the Holy City of Mecca. Dismissing these allegations as baseless and false, they warned against exploiting the issue to sow discord and incite strife among Muslims, or creating an opportunity for Zionist occupiers to target Islamic holy sites.
In their statement, Yemeni scholars warned all nations against participating in the aggression against the people of Yemen and rejected what they termed the exploitation of the Two Holy Mosques for political and colonial agendas. They also condemned the presentation of the Kaaba’s covering to Israeli figures, deeming it a violation of the sanctity of the Holy Kaaba.
The statement called upon Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the International Union of Muslim Scholars, the Muslim World League, and other religious scholars to verify information carefully and avoid being misled by deceptive Saudi media. Conversely, it commended the stances taken by the Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman and the Mufti of Libya, emphasizing that media clamor would not deter the people of Yemen from continuing to defend themselves or from responding to escalation with escalation.
