PNN – In a press conference with the President of Lithuania on Wednesday night, the President of Ukraine once again emphasized the urgent need for advanced air defense system to confront Russia.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a joint press conference with Lithuanian President Gitanas Navseda on Wednesday night that Ukraine currently does not have the ability to produce an advanced air defense system.
According to the “Kief Independent” website, Zelensky said that Russia used 500 missiles and drones in the new round of attacks.
“Sufficiently advanced air defense systems are something that is currently lacking in Ukraine,” Zelenskiy said. “We can fight Russia with technology.”

Since the beginning of the Ukrainian war, Zelensky has put a lot of pressure on various international actors, especially in the Western world, to continue providing aid to Ukraine in the midst of the country’s war with Russia.
Vilnius also pledged to continue its unwavering support for Ukraine through defense contracts finalized last year.
The small Baltic states have been pressing the West to provide more advanced weapons since Russia’s massive invasion of Ukraine.
A Ukrainian Air Force official has said that the escalation of Russian missile and drone attacks has challenged Ukraine’s air defense and made the country vulnerable.
Despite Zelensky’s efforts, support has dwindled recently. US President Joe Biden’s administration’s plan to send billions of dollars more in aid to Kyiv has stalled in Congress, and Europe’s pledge to provide one million artillery shells has failed.
Meanwhile, the long-range attacks of Russian forces on Ukraine continue. The mayor of Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city, said that the city was targeted by Russian S-300 missiles.
